Ground Transportation Agreement Terms and Conditions

All pets must be at least 8 weeks of age to be transported. The individual arranging for transport certifies that the pet is at least 8 weeks old by the date of pickup.

Health & Safety Requirements
• A current rabies certificate (for pets 16 weeks or older) must accompany the pet.
• A valid health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian is required if crossing state lines, dated within 10 days of travel.
• Pets must be clean and free of odors or visible parasites (e.g., fleas or ticks) prior to pickup.
• Pets must not require the use of a muzzle or restraint device during transport. Pappy Paws reserves the right to refuse any pet that displays aggressive behavior or appears unfit for transport.

Payment Terms
• A 50% deposit is required at booking to secure the reservation.
• The remaining 50% is due upon delivery of the pet at the final destination.
• A 5% processing fee applies to all transactions.
• Deposits are non-refundable, but clients may reschedule transport for a future date (pending availability).
If booked within 7 days of service, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Pickup, Delivery & Scheduling
• Pickup and delivery locations will be agreed upon in advance.
• If either party is more than 15 minutes late, a $75 late fee will be added to the final invoice and must be paid before the pet is released.
• While every effort is made to arrive on time, unforeseen delays due to traffic, weather, or other circumstances may occur. You will be notified immediately if any delay is expected.

Overnight Stays and Emergencies
• If an overnight stay becomes necessary (e.g., road closures, illness, weather), the client will be responsible for related expenses including lodging and pet care.
• If no one is present at the delivery location, or required paperwork is missing, the handler reserves the right to retain the pet and reschedule at the client’s expense.

Owner’s Responsibilities
• Provide all necessary documents, including rabies certificate and health certificate if required.
• Supply any food or medication needed during transport, with clear instructions.
